Fuzzy Control of the Position Servo Motor Drives with Elasticity and Friction

Abstract— It is known that existing algorithms for control position of precision electric drive of systems with nonliarities: elasticity and friction do not provide damping of autooscillations at infralow tracking speed. Therefore control algorithms, which ensure smooth motion of the load at acceptable transient response has high priority. Mathematical modeling has shown that the use of Fuzzycontroller in position loop instead of the traditional PI-controller can significantly reduce tracking errors and eliminate system oscillation. The proposed technique can improve the accuracy and robustness of precision servo drives of tracking and positioning.
